The name of the diploma thesis 'Internationalization of a subject operating on the market of higher education' already reveals the issues assessed in this thesis. Internationalization in this industry has in the recent years gained on importance and is widely discussed in the academic sphere. However, when applying the marketing as a theoretical lens, a research gap has been found. Therefore, this diploma thesis aims to look at the internationalization process integrating the marketing communication tools. The main aim is then to identify those tools which will be used to convert higher number of international students to the chosen university as their alma mater. The investigation is carried out using qualitative data collection methods, specifically the analysis of existing documents and then interviews with international students of TUL. The thesis is divided in two main parts. In the first part, the theoretical understanding of concerned topics will be presented. In the second part the applied research will be introduced. Further, chosen institution will be presented along with its marketing communication analysed. In the last part, recommendation for TUL will be further introduced in order to increase the levels of internationalization at this university.
