The main goal of the bachelor thesis was to summarize theoretical and practical information about cupping therapy as a massage method used for regeneration. The theoretical part of the thesis included history, equipment, signifikance for health, contraindications, the process of therapy and the principle and also method of application. In terms of the practical part of the bachelor thesis, a survey was conducted between December 2020 and February 2021, which was attended by a total of 95 respondents from the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The interactive survey was intended for masseurs, clients and the general public, with 31 masseurs, 30 clients and 34 people from the public. Key research findings include that masseurs (74%) and clients (53%) agreed that cupping therapy provides a feeling of relaxation and most people of the general public (76%) even though they are aware of the benefits of cupping therapy they are not interested in this method of regeneration. Another key result is that a large proportion of masseurs (61%), clients (43%) and the general public (41%) believe that cupping therapy comes from China and not from Egypt. The next key result was the answers of masseurs (87 %) and clients (73%) who revealed that cupping therapy is used primarily for physical regeneration. In conclusion, based on processing data is that the cupping should never hurt and it should bring a relief. Furthermore, both masseurs and clients follow a minimum time interval between therapies of 48 hours. And the effects of cupping therapy include not only pain relief but also mental relief. Overall, the cupping therapy can also be used as an accompanying process to treat the disease.
